Release Time:2026-05-08Views:10

On May 8, the SHZQU campus came alive with the spirit of athleticism as dragon and lion dances performed amidst waving flags, marking the grand opening of the 2026 Sports Culture Festival and Inter-Class Super League. Under the guiding principle of Health First, the event transformed the campus into a vibrant arena where every student and faculty member is a protagonist rather than a spectator.

The festival aims to foster a campus culture where physical activity strengthens the body and builds collective unity. SHZQU is actively guiding its community to find strength through movement and power through perseverance. From intense class leagues to fun challenges and traditional sports demonstrations, the passion for athletics has ignited every corner of the campus.

This year’s festival adopts a College vs. College + Class vs. Class dual-track system. The curriculum includes five fixed events, such as tug-of-war and basketball, alongside 15 elective categories ranging from ball games to physical fitness challenges. This multi-layered structure is designed to ensure that every college has its specialty, every class has its competition, and every individual has the opportunity to participate, truly rooting the Health First philosophy in the campus soul.

“I now declare the Shanghai Zhongqiao University of Vocational and Technical Sciences 2026 Sports Culture Festival and Inter-Class Super League officially open! ”President Han Fang and Party Secretary Ping Jie announced. They were joined by the university leadership, deans of various colleges, department heads, and student representatives. By centering the theme on health, SHZQU ensures that every young student can enhance their physical fitness and sharpen their willpower through exercise—striving to ensure they have sweat on their skin, light in their eyes, dreams in their hearts, and strength in their steps.

The opening ceremony also featured a spectacular series of cultural performances, where youthful energy met artistic beauty, perfectly illustrating the diversity and vitality of SHZQU’s campus culture.

As May unfolds, the university calls upon all students and staff to strengthen their bodies and minds through sport. Let movement become a habit and health become a way of life. Let’s get moving!
