Schoolof Economics and Management Hosts The Inspiring EntrepreneurshipPark Expert Forum

To further bridge the gap between academia and industry, drive curriculum innovation aligned with corporate needs, deepen industry-education integration, and advance the development of high-quality specialties marked by excellence in education, strong industry relevance, and outstanding graduate employability, the School of Economics and Management organized 'The Inspiring Entrepreneurship Park corporate expert forum' on May 7, 2025. Held at the New Business Integrated Training Center in Building 3, the event brought together over 30 participants, including representatives from Jinshan District’s entrepreneurship incubators, corporate leaders, and local entrepreneurship support personnel. Through collaborative dialogue on innovation and professional development, the forum aimed to strengthen university-industry partnerships, ignite students' entrepreneurial drive, and provide mentorship for student-led ventures. Yang Hui, Party Secretary of the School of Economics and Management, Yu Chunying, Director of the Cross-Media E-commerce Operations Program, Geng Haoyi, Assistant to the Dean and top student representatives attended the forum.



The event began with a guided tour of the school's facilities, where corporate guests observed teaching resources, research achievements, and innovation-driven educational initiatives. They lauded the school’s progress in talent cultivation and program development.


The forum then featured presentations by five student teams showcasing entrepreneurial projects spanning diverse sectors. Each project demonstrated creativity and market viability, with students outlining their inspirations, target markets, operational frameworks, and growth strategies. They also engaged in Q&A sessions with industry experts to address challenges encountered during project development.


Yang Hui highlighted the school's commitment to serving Jinshan's regional economy, accelerating AI curriculum development, and fostering industry collaboration to co-design cutting-edge courses. She emphasized the faculty's dual strengths in academic rigor and industry expertise, which ensure curricula remain closely tied to real-world demands, equipping students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.

Yu Chunying detailed the Cross-Media E-commerce Operations Program's mission to cultivate professionals skilled in new media marketing, content creation, data analytics, and cross-platform e-commerce management. The industry-aligned curriculum includes courses such as E-commerce Data Mining, Cross-Border Platform Operations, Brand Strategy, New Media Management, and Live Streaming Operations. She also underscored hands-on training modules and partnerships with leading enterprises, offering guests insights into the program's practical focus.


Corporate experts spoke highly of the students’ innovative ideas and offered actionable feedback rooted in their entrepreneurial experience. They encouraged students to embrace risk-taking, conduct rigorous market analysis, and prioritize user-centric design to enhance project viability. Inspirational stories shared by entrepreneurs further motivated attendees, reinforcing the value of perseverance and adaptability in business.


The forum served as a dynamic platform for academia-industry exchange, paving the way for deeper collaboration. Through direct engagement with professionals, students gained valuable insights, expanded their networks, and solidified their resolve to pursue innovative ventures. Moving forward, the School of Economics and Management will continue to champion entrepreneurship education through workshops, mentorship programs, and industry-linked initiatives, empowering students to thrive in an evolving global landscape.
