A New Chapter in Industry-Academia-Research Integration
On April 16, a delegation led by Mr. Yang Zhuo, Vice President of JAKA Robotics Co., Ltd.—a leading collaborative robotics company in China—visited Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University.
The two sides held in-depth discussions on jointly establishing a modern industrial college and creating an intelligent manufacturing talent ecosystem, marking a strategic upgrade in their university-enterprise cooperation.
Demand-Driven Focus and Joint Innovation in Talent Development
President Cao Yuping of Zhongqiao University warmly welcomed the JAKA Robotics team and provided a detailed introduction to the university's educational philosophy, academic programs, and achievements in industry-education integration.

He emphasized the university's commitment to cultivating high-quality, skilled technical professionals. Through close collaboration with JAKA Robotics, the university aims to align talent development in intelligent manufacturing with real industry needs. Key focus areas of the partnership will include training in core technologies such as robot programming and intelligent production line maintenance, enabling students to transition smoothly from graduation to employment.

Vice President Yang Zhuo expressed strong support for the university's vision and introduced JAKA Robotics' development journey, core technologies, and industry applications. As a pioneer in collaborative robotics, JAKA places high value on cooperation with higher education institutions. The company hopes to build a co-branded industrial college to share resources, complement strengths, and jointly nurture innovative talents who can adapt to the evolving needs of the sector.
Zhang Meng, General Manager of JAKA's Education Division, presented a comprehensive plan for the “Zhongqiao-JAKA Industrial College,” covering areas such as curriculum development, practical training base construction, faculty training, and employment support for students.
The proposed industrial college will focus on smart manufacturing, establishing an integrated platform that unites industry, academia, and research in talent cultivation.
Mutual Empowerment to Energize Future Development
The two parties reached a consensus on establishing a long-term collaboration mechanism. President Cao Yuping stated that the university will fully support the development of the industrial college and promote it as a model in areas such as curriculum certification and vocational skills assessment. Vice President Yang Zhuo affirmed that JAKA Robotics will leverage its enterprise strengths to push the project forward and contribute to both talent development and industry upgrading.
This successful strategic dialogue not only builds a collaborative innovation platform between the university and the enterprise but also provides strong talent support for the upgrading of the regional intelligent manufacturing industry. Moving forward, both parties will continue to explore new models of “industry-education integration and joint talent cultivation,” injecting strong momentum into the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Delta's manufacturing sector.

Participants in the meeting included Wu Jiajia, Director of JAKA's East China Region, Pang Hao, Education Program Manager, Ma Jun, Director of the Party and Administrative Office at Zhongqiao University, Wang Shuxin, Dean and Party Secretary of the School of Intelligent Manufacturing, and Wang Zhaowei, Vice Dean.
