
As a key hub linking education chain,industry chain, supply chain, talent chain and value chain, industry-academia integration is becoming a strategic engine for vocational undergraduate colleges to achieve high-quality development. In order to promote the cultivation of logistics talents in vocational undergraduate institutions and build an ecosystem for the deep integration of industry, academia and research,the School of Economics and Management of Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University (Zhongqiao University) and SF Express held a university-enterprise cooperation meeting in the conference room 307 of No.3 Building on the morning of 30th March. Professor Cao Yuping, President of Zhongqiao University, Professor Guo Hun, Dean of Aviation School of Changzhou Institute of Technology, Guo Yanying, General Manager of Suzhou-Shanghai Region of SF Express, Professor Zhang Bingda, Dean of School of Economics and Management,Professor Zhang Shuyi, Dean of Teaching and Learning, Associate Professor Yuan Yali, Director of Modern Logistics Management, and Professor Chen Zixia and Professor Peng Caigen attended the meeting and devoted to the in-depth dialogue together.

At the beginning of the meeting, President Cao Yuping expressed his sincere welcome to the visit of Guo Yanying, General Manager of Suzhou-Shanghai Region of SF Express, and Guo Hun, Dean of Aviation School of Changzhou Institute of Technology. Afterwards, Mr. Zhang Shuyi, Dean of Teaching and Learning of the School of Economics and Management, elaborated on the school's characteristics, which focused on the construction of the modern logistics management professional group as a high-level professional group in Shanghai. Guo Yanying, General Manager of the School, focused on the corporate culture and development strategy of SF, and systematically elaborated on the talent strategy system of the company, and analysed in detail the job competency model and growth channel design around the development needs of talents in the modern logistics industry. Zhang Bingda, dean of the School of Economics and Management, claimed that the School has always adhered to the concept of 'vocational attributes' and 'undergraduate level' dual-wheel drive, and strive to cultivate high-quality technical and skilled personnel to accurately meet the needs of the industry. In particular, he pointed out that on the basis of deepening school-enterprise co-operation and building order classes together, students cultivated by vocational undergraduate education have shown remarkable stability in the workplace.


In the in-depth negotiation session, the two sides started the dialogue around the core issues of internship training carrier co-construction, technical skill talents cultivation, professional connotation construction, etc. Through multi-dimensional exchanges and discussions, the two sides accurately anchored the vocational and skilled personnel training and regional economic and industrial upgrading of the fit dimension, in the integration of production and education mechanism innovation, the education chain industry chain docking path and other aspects of the formation of deepening cooperation consensus.

In the end, President Cao Yuping concluded the meeting, saying that we should focus on building the modern logistics management major into a characteristic and advantageous major, and profoundly explained the unique positioning of vocational undergraduate education in talent cultivation specifications, pointing out the differences from higher vocational education and applied undergraduate education, as well as stressing the need to build a nurturing model of ‘demand-driven and characteristic development’. President Cao extended an olive branch of cooperation to SF Express and put forward the strategic concept of ‘Modern Logistics Industry College’, advocated the establishment of a long-term cooperation platform of ‘school-enterprisedual’, and explored the path of multi-level and multi-dimensional cooperation, so as to truly realise the in-depth integration and mutual empowerment for both the education chain and the industrial chain. ‘The most touching education is to change people's destiny, and the most warm education is education with humanity.’ With these words, President Cao drew a successful conclusion for this meeting.

This strategic negotiation during the meeting has laid the ideological foundation and framework consensus for the cooperation between the two sides, and the next step will be to deepen the synergy around specific projects, and jointly cultivate elites in the modern logistics industry with both ‘craftsmanship’ and ‘digital skills’ through diversified modes of co-operation, writing a new chapter of the integration of industry and education.
