On March 14, Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University held the 2025 Spring Semester Middle-Level Cadres Meeting in the Auditorium of the Information Building to outline the key tasks for the school in 2025. President Cao Yuping delivered a speech and assigned the school's key annual tasks, while Party Secretary Ping Jie presided over the meeting. All university leaders and middle-level cadres attended the meeting.
President Cao Yuping delivered a speech titled "Recognize the Situation, Define the Goals, and Diligently Implement —Taking New Steps Toward High-Quality Development of Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University." He emphasized that 2025 is a critical year for implementing the spirit of the National Education Conference and the outline for building an education powerhouse. Middle-level cadres must play a demonstrative and leading role as the "key minority," with a sense of mission that "success will surely include my contribution" and a sense of urgency that "time waits for no one." They must transform the grand blueprint for the school's development into vibrant practice and work hard to write a new chapter for the university's high-quality development.
In his speech, Party Secretary Ping Jie emphasized that the university should be guided by Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, comprehensively implement the Party's education policies, and ensure that both Party leadership and career development work together in deep integration. He urged the university to implement the spirit of the Two Sessions, actively engage in the comprehensive reform of higher education in Shanghai, and deepen the integration of industry and education, as well as digital transformation. As a national pilot university for vocational undergraduate education, the university aims to cultivate "knowledge-based, developmental, and international" high-quality technical and skilled talents, and to create an education system driven by "craftsmanship spirit + digital literacy," contributing to the construction of a strong education system in Shanghai.
At the meeting, representatives from administritive departments and colleges shared their experiences and insights on the high-quality development of secondary colleges, the cultivation of "dual leaders" Party branches, and breakthroughs in the university's classification evaluation indicators.
