The highly anticipated 2024 Tonghuashun Cup National College Students’ Financial Literacy Knowledge Competition concluded successfully on November 15, 2024. Students from the Financial Technology Application major at the School of Economics and Management achieved an outstanding feat, sweeping the first, second, and third prizes in the finals. A total of 11 students demonstrated exceptional professional knowledge and teamwork, bringing significant honor to the school. This competition aims to enhance the financial literacy of college students, promote the application of financial knowledge, and drive innovation in financial education at the university level. The competition was conducted in two stages: a preliminary round and a final. Participants faced rigorous challenges across various fields, including financial markets, investment strategies, risk management, and cutting-edge fintech, requiring a high level of comprehensive financial knowledge. The finals, with a maximum score of 120 points, tested participants’ ability to solve financial problems under intense time constraints.
The team from the Financial Technology Application major at the School of Economics and Management excelled in the competition through their solid theoretical foundation, sharp market insights, and agile problem-solving skills. Despite facing stiff competition, they emerged victorious. Reflecting on their achievement, the award-winning students remarked, “This competition was not only a comprehensive test of our professional knowledge but also an invaluable opportunity to challenge ourselves and enhance our abilities. Competing with outstanding teams from other universities broadened our horizons and taught us valuable lessons beyond textbooks.”
