University and China Telecom Shanghai Sign University-Enterprise Cooperation Agreement

On November 7, Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University (SHZQU) and Shanghai Telecom Engineering Co., Ltd.  held a signing ceremony for a university-enterprise cooperation agreement in Room 108 of the Information Building. The event was hosted by Wu Youzhi, Vice President of SHZQU and attended by Yan Jianjun , Chairman of Zeta Group and Chen Zhihong, Deputy General Manager of China Telecom Shanghai.


This partnership marks the establishment of a close industry-academia-research collaboration between the university and the company. By introducing the "order-based class" model as a starting point, both parties will set up a joint cooperation base to deepen their efforts in resource sharing, curriculum development, talent cultivation, and internship and employment opportunities. Together, they aim to explore a new integrated model of "industry, academia, research, and application" to train more high-quality technical and skilled talent suited to industry needs.



Huo Jiazhen, President of SHZQU expressed gratitude to China Telecom Shanghai for its continued support of the university's endeavors. He emphasized university's commitment to becoming a modern vocational and technical university that is leading in China and internationally renowned. By strengthening industry-education integration and university-enterprise collaboration, SHZQU seeks to align with industry demands, innovate in fields such as modern apprenticeship and job-based mentoring, and elevate its efforts in talent cultivation to new heights.



Chen Zhihong, Deputy General Manager of China Telecom Shanghai, provided an overview of the company's development history, business layout, and talent needs. He highlighted key areas for future cooperation and noted that this partnership represents an important starting point. Both sides will leverage their respective resources to strengthen collaboration and exchange, jointly cultivating high-quality technical talent with a strong sense of enterprise culture.



Zhou Sheng, Executive President of Zeta Group expressed his anticipation for the multifaceted collaborative education model. He noted that it would provide students with abundant practical opportunities, enhance their professional competencies, and supply the industry with skilled talent that meets its demands, achieving a win-win outcome for both the university and the enterprise.



The ceremony included the signing of the university-enterprise cooperation agreement and the presentation of plaques for the "Chnia Telecom Shanghai Talent Development Base" and the "Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University Off-Campus Practice Education Base."



During the meeting, university and company leaders engaged in detailed discussions on professional development, enterprise talent needs, challenges in the industry, and talent cultivation strategies. Based on their respective strengths and areas of expertise, the two sides explored collaboration opportunities in curriculum design, order-based training, and practical platforms. Both parties expressed a commitment to achieving tangible results in resource sharing, joint talent development, and student employment to foster mutual growth in education and industry.



SHZQU will continue to explore innovative talent cultivation models such as modern apprenticeships and job-based mentoring. By leveraging the expertise and resources of Shanghai Telecom, the university aims to deepen curriculum reform, modernize vocational education practices, and collaborate on areas like internship training, professional development, and employment platforms. These efforts will ensure a closer alignment between talent training and job requirements, optimize resource integration, and create win-win outcomes for both sides.



Before the ceremony, attendees toured SHZQU's School of Intelligent Manufacturing and School of Information Engineering, where they observed the training facilities and gained insights into the university's professional development and strategic direction. They highly praised the university's approach to integrating industry, academia, and research.


Participants included Xu Zhenyu, General Manager of the Cloud Network Operations Department at China Telecom Shanghai; Tao Ran, General Manager of Shanghai Telecom Engineering Co., Ltd.; Huang Hongjie, Deputy General Manager; and key personnel from the Human Resources Department, He Kai and Sun Jiaqin. SHZQU attendees included Vice President Wu Youzhi, Wei Peng, Director of the Industry-Education Integration Office, and other relevant staff.
