Economics and Management students won the silver medal at the World Vocational College Skills Competition 2024

On 31 October, the 2024 World Vocational College Skills Competition Finals Finance and Commerce Track IV Supply Chain Management Competition held in Zhangzhou Institute of Technology came to a successful conclusion. With Professor Zhang Bingda, dean of the College of Economics and Management, as the leader, Yu Wenling and Zhang Wenwen, teachers of Modern Logistics Management, as the instructors, the team composed of 4 students, Wang Yujing, Xing Xiaomin, Tong Xuyan and Fu Jiming, defied the difficulties and fought hard, and stood out from 60 teams from all over the country to win the silver medal in the supply chain management competition.



The competition is upgraded from ‘National Vocational College Skills Competition’ to ‘World Vocational College Skills Competition’, which optimizes the system and mechanism of the competition, helps to cultivate new productivity, build a modern industrial system, and cultivate high-skilled talents with comprehensive skills awareness and hands-on ability. This competition requires participants to comprehensively apply supply chain planning and design software, supply chain virtual simulation operation software, supply chain data analysis and decision-making software to solve the actual problems faced by enterprises, enhance resource allocation efficiency through optimization algorithms, strengthen the resilience and security of the enterprise supply chain, realize cost reduction and increase efficiency, empower comprehensive competitiveness, and comprehensively compete with the resilience, innovation and decision-making ability of each participating team.



The School of Economics and Management, leveraging its development of a high-level modern logistics management program, has comprehensively integrated resources and deepened industry-education collaboration to foster students' innovative abilities and teamwork. Through the establishment of a practical platform for school-enterprise cooperation, we aim to cultivate students' skills in innovation and collaboration. Under the guidance of dedicated instructors, participating students from the School of Economics and Management demonstrated solid professional knowledge and outstanding practical abilities, achieving impressive results in this competition.



This award is not only a recognition of the hard work of the participating students, but also highlights the high quality level of education in the School of Economics and Management, and will inspire all teachers and students to continue to scale new heights!
