Representatives from the University of South Wales Visit Zhongqiao University for Exchange

On the morning of October 29, 2024, Kim Williams, Head of International Affairs at the University of South Wales, Sam Huang, China Regional Manager, Ella Tang, Admissions Officer at the China Representative Office, and Zhu Zhengqi, Director of Shanghai Zhengcheng Technology Development Center, visited Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University. They conducted a lecture for our students on study abroad programs. The guests were warmly received by Yan Hui, Assistant to the President and Head of the International Department, and Peng Nan, Head of the UK Program.


At the beginning of the visit, Director Yan Hui extended a warm welcome to the representatives from the University of South Wales and gave a comprehensive introduction to the current exchange and study-abroad programs offered by the School of International Education, as well as the university's commitment to an international development strategy.

Kim Williams expressed sincere appreciation for Director Yan's introduction and highly commended the unique qualities of our programs. The two parties then engaged in in-depth discussions on their respective talent development models and internationalization strategies. Both sides agreed that strengthening cooperation between the two universities would offer more international educational opportunities to our students, further enhancing the quality of talent cultivation.


In the following lecture, Kim Williams introduced the University of South Wales, covering its location, learning environment, and range of programs. Ella Tang provided details on the joint 2+1 associate-to-bachelor’s, 3+1 bachelor-to-master’s, and 2+1+1 combined bachelor’s-master’s study abroad programs, including information on program duration and associated costs.



After the lecture, the UK representatives had a warm exchange with students from the international joint programs. The faculty introduced the advantages of the University of South Wales, global educational approach, and what students could expect in terms of studying and living in the UK. The atmosphere was relaxed and lively, with students expressing enthusiasm for their future overseas studies.


Director Yan Hui remarked that the University of South Wales’ visit further promoted collaboration between the two institutions in areas such as talent development and degree advancement programs, including associate-to-bachelor’s and bachelor-to-master’s pathways, offering more students the opportunity to broaden their horizons and advance their academic qualifications.
