In order to further consolidate the faculty and staff of the school, stimulate the work vitality of the new semester, and ensure the efficient and orderly development of all work of the School, on September 3, before the new semester of the 2024-2025 academic year began, The School of Economics and Management convened the faculty and staff meeting of the new academic year. Themeeting was presided over by Dean Zhang of the School of Economics and Management.
First of all, Dean of the School of Economics and Management made a general report on the topic of "Uniting hearts, advocating science, leading innovation and pursuing excellence". Dean Zhang pointed out that as a brand new vocational undergraduate business school, there are not too many typical cases and experience for us to learn from, we are ourselves the pathfinder of revolution, so everyone should have the spirit of "entrepreneurs", and the courage to explore and innovate in the journey of creating new positioning, new models and new methods of vocational undergraduate education. We should not be loners, but also to become fellow travelers.
Dean Zhang stressed that the current is the golden era for the development of vocational education, the country attaches great importance to the development of vocational education. Asthe only construction unit of high-level vocationalundergraduate professional group in Shanghai, the faculty and staffshould seize the historical development opportunity, establish lofty ideals and beliefs, and make joint efforts to build an innovative digital intelligent business school.
The meeting also introduced the newly introduced faculty team of the school, including 10 full-time teachers and 2 full- time counselors. Most of the new teachers have overseas study and work experience. The new teachers introduced themselves in terms of their professional background, development experience and research direction.
Then, Dean Zhang of the School of Economics and Management, arranged specific tasks in the preparation for the new academic year, application of new majors, construction of the faculty team of the school in the new academic year and so on.
After the plenary meeting, the teachers took the profession as the unit to carry out group discussions on the construction of teacher ethics and style, the qualification assessment requirements, and the classification evaluation indicators. The teachers offered suggestions for planning new professional development goals and the characteristic development of the school, and then sought a broader consensus and warmly looked forward to the arrival of the new academic year.
