Inaugural International Exchange English Enhancement Program Officially Begins

On May 10th, the opening ceremony of the first International Exchange English Enhancement Program was successfully held. Yan Hui, Dean of the School of International Education, Jin Yiqian, the language teacher of the first International Exchange English Enhancement Program, staff of the School of International Education and all the students of the program attended the opening ceremony.



Dean Yan Hui stated that students will be selected to go to Germany for international exchange and study during this summer vacation and autumn semester. The School of International Education will continuously enhance students' language, cross-cultural communication and understanding skills through multi-perspective measures. At the opening ceremony, she shared experiences of studying and living abroad, and talked about the skills and tips for communicating with foreigners, as well as the importance of inclusiveness. In order to broaden students' horizons, increase knowledge, improve English proficiency and professional skills, she encouraged everyone to actively be involved in international exchange projects, becoming outstanding talents with international vision.



The program is scheduled between May 10th and June 21st, and the teaching syllabus not only includes basic knowledge and skills of language learning, but also emphasizes the skill practice and application. The teaching component is divided into two modules: the English Language Bridge (ELB) course and professional course. The ELB course includes basic language skills in listening, speaking, reading, writing as well as the cultivation of critical thinking and personal opinion expression; the professional course focuses more on cross-cultural management, business management, economic management, securities investment, data analysis and other different fields, aiming to lay a solid foundation for communication internationally and further study abroad.






The International Exchange English Enhancement Program is going to adopt an Full English Teaching mode for the first time. Considering the differences in students' ability to absorb and understand the knowledge, the teaching content has been redesigned and reorganized. Efforts have been made to create an international atmosphere and cultivate "professional + English" dual-skilled talents. This new attempt not only creates an immersive English learning environment, but also provides students with a solid base for their future competitiveness on the international stage. the School of International Education will take the opportunity of International Exchange English Enhancement Program to strengthen students' theoretical and practical English abilities and inject new vitality and momentum into Zhongqiao's English teaching construction.
