Representatives from Curtin University, Australia visited Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University for exchange

On November 13th, the International Education College of Zhongqiao University received Dr. Michele Doray, the head of the multinational project at Curtin University in Australia. Our school's dean of the International Education College, Yan Hui, the vice dean of the International Education College, Feng Yuqiang, and the dean of the School of Foreign Languages, Li Mei, participated in the reception.

 

During the morning meeting, Dean Yan Hui first welcomed the visit from Curtin University and expressed the hope to further deepen the cooperation between the two schools and carry out more high-quality collaborative exchange projects. The two sides then had in-depth discussions on the current exchange projects and student language training.

 


After lunch, a training symposium for ELB trainers was held. Teachers from the School of Foreign Languages listened to Dr. Michele's experience sharing and guidance, and discussed how to better integrate students into the ELB curriculum.

 


After the symposium, Dr. Michele, accompanied by the leaders of the International Education College, visited our colleges and training facilities, expressing approval of our school's educational and training environment.

 


After the symposium, the International Education College held a sharing lecture on Curtin University in the library lecture hall. Dr. Michele first introduced the history and campus distribution of Curtin University to the participating students, and then focused on explaining English learning skills and academic writing skills, etc. Dean Yan Hui and Vice Dean Feng Yuqiang also interpreted and answered questions about the current ELB program at Curtin. During the questioning session, the students actively interacted with Dr. Michele, demonstrating their enthusiasm for learning English and their desire for international communication.

 


In the future, the International Education College will collaborate with Curtin University to empower our school's English training and cross-border exchanges in various ways. We will work together to promote the implementation of cooperative projects and provide students with a broader international stage.
