Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University and Unitec Institute of Technology of New Zealand Hold an Online Communication Meeting

On 5 May 2023 at 9am Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University and Unitec Institute of Technology of New Zealand held an exchange meeting on the cooperation of education. Jiazhen Huo, President of Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University, Shu Yun Liu, Vice President, Xin Zhao, Dean of College of Information Engineering, Jin Kong, Dean of College of Arts, Yanan Hu, Deputy Director of International Exchange, Girish Nair, International Director of Unitec Institute of Technology, Debbie White, Overseas Project Manager, Mark Liu, Overseas Business Development Manager, CEO of AZC International Education Group, Australia Ennin Zhang attended this meeting.


 

Prof. Huo and Debbie White welcomed all participants of this conference. Debbie White, Overseas Program Manager of Unitec Institute of Technology(Te Pūkenga), then introduced the institution to the attendees. Te Pūkenga is the largest tertiary education institution in New Zealand and the Southern Hemisphere, and the 35th largest in the world. Te Pūkenga was established in 2020 and integrates all 16 New Zealand polytechnics and most industry training institutions into one national education organization.

 

Prof. Huo, President of Zhongqiao University, gave a presentation on the history, scale characteristics and development strategy of the University. President Huo said that Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University has the vision of becoming a modern vocational and technical university of first-class and global reputation in China, cultivating outstanding industrial talents with international vision. It is hoped that both institutions will fully combine their advantages to actively explore cooperation models and jointly cultivate high-level talents.

At the end of the meeting, representatives from both sides affirmed this meeting and hoped that the two schools could conduct mutual visit activities and actively promote follow-up cooperation.
