On April 24, Zhongqiao University and the Indonesian ABDI SISWA Foundation jointly launched a “Chinese + Vocational Skills” Overseas Talent Development Base at Yayasan Abdi Siswa in Jakarta. The initiative marks the 75th anniversary of China-Indonesia diplomatic relations and the 70th anniversary of the historic Bandung Conference.
The base represents a significant step in Zhongqiao University's international strategy to support the Belt and Road Initiative through education. It aims to equip Indonesian students with both Chinese language proficiency and high-demand technical skills, addressing the growing need for multilingual, industry-ready professionals.
Initial programs will focus on “Chinese + UAV Technology” and “Chinese + Artificial Intelligence,” co-taught by Zhongqiao University faculty and industry experts. Chinese culture and cross-cultural communication courses will also be integrated to enhance students' global competencies.

At the inauguration, Ms. Yan Hui, Assistant to the President of Zhongqiao University, and Mr. Jusuf Iskandar, Chairman of the ABDI SISWA Foundation, signed a cooperation agreement and jointly unveiled the base. Ms. Yan noted that the initiative will leverage China's leading industries—such as electric vehicles, drones, and AI—to deliver forward-looking vocational education in Indonesia.
Since forming a strategic partnership in 2023, Zhongqiao University and Yayasan Abdi Siswa have collaborated in faculty exchange, curriculum development, and educational reform. The new base will further deepen this collaboration and serve as a model for international talent development under the “Chinese + Skills” framework.

Mr. Jusuf Iskandar, Chairman of the ABDI SISWA Foundation; Ir. Pandji Kusuma, President of the Board; Mr. Deddy Suwanda, Chief Financial Officer; Mr. Simon Sumardi, Foundation Member; Mr. Ferry Widagda, Member of the Sponsorship Committee; Ms. Gu Fan, Senior Advisor of Yayasan Abdi Siswa; Mr. Hou Yifeng, Representative of the International School (China); and faculty and staff representatives from Yayasan Abdi Siswa attended the unveiling ceremony.
