Recently, with the grand opening of the Belt and Road & BRICS Skills Development and Technology Innovation Competition, a global feast of low/no-code intelligent application development has sparked a wave of innovation across the world. On this stage that brought together cutting-edge technology and creativity, three students from the Financial Technology Application Program of the School of Economics and Management at our university — Fan Yuqi, Liu Lingfei, and Wu Jianhao — demonstrated exceptional technical skills and boundless creativity, writing a remarkable chapter of youth. Their efforts earned them the National Second Prize in the Low/No-Code Intelligent Application Development Skills Competition (Undergraduate Group). Meanwhile, their instructors, Huang Kanmei and Huang Xin, were awarded the Outstanding Instructor Award, and the university received the Outstanding Organization Award.

This competition focuses on developing applications through visual interface operations and has extensive applications in fields such as intelligent customer service, data analysis and prediction, intelligent management, and smart manufacturing. It provides strong support for achieving intelligent business processes and decision-making. Contestants were required to build their own systems—such as customer management, procurement and supply chain, or chain operations platforms—within six hours based on specific needs. Additionally, they could develop various mini-programs of their own design. The low/no-code applications developed during the competition can be deployed on platforms like WeChat, DingTalk, WeCom, Weibo, and Feishu.

This competition not only served as a comprehensive test of participants’ programming skills but also as an in-depth assessment of their innovative thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities. The event consisted of two stages: preliminary and final rounds. A total of six teams from the Financial Technology Application Program of our university advanced to the finals. Among them, the team of Fan Yuqi, Liu Lingfei, and Wu Jianhao stood out with their unique perspectives and innovative design concepts. They seamlessly integrated the convenience of low/no-code technology with the intelligence of digital applications, successfully creating a comprehensive intelligent platform that combines data analysis, predictive decision-making, and intelligent management. Their work scored an impressive 82 points, securing the top spot in the National Second Prize of the Undergraduate Group amidst fierce competition. The other teams were awarded Finalist Excellence Awards.
