On the afternoon of January 23rd, our school held an online meeting with the University of Tunis El Manar (UTM) to discuss international education cooperation between China and Tunisia and the development of Chinese language education at UTM.
Vice President Liu Shuyun of SZQU, Vice president Fadila Darrgai of the UTM, Mr. Bechir Mhalla, Secretary-General of the Afro-Asian International Development Alliance, and Deputy Director Hu Yanan of International Cooperation Office of SZQU attended this meeting. Tracy Zhang, President of the Afro-Asian International Development Alliance Asia-Pacific Region, chaired the meeting.
Vice President Liu Shuyun introduced basic situation of Zhongqiao University to UTM and had preliminary discussions with Vice President Fadila Darrgai on the establishment of a Chinese training center at UTM. Both parties agree that the Chinese training center project has good development prospects, and the implementation of the project will further promote the exchange and cooperation between the two schools. Both parties agree to continue strengthening consultation and communication, and accelerate the implementation of specific matters of the project.

UTM (University of Tunis EI Manar) established in 1987. The school brings together Tunisia's oldest and most prestigious higher education and research institutions. It currently has over 4,500 faculty and staff members and over 30,000 students. It has the authority to grant bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees, and is a well-known comprehensive university in Tunisia.
