On January 19, 2024, the signing ceremony for the cooperation between Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University and Metropolia University of Applied Sciences in Finland was held online with great fanfare. The attendees of this meeting include president Huo Jiazhen, Vice President Liu Shuyun, Dean Wu Youzhi of the School of Food and Drug, Dean Zhu Xiaoli of School of Architecture and Engineering, Director Wang Ling of International Cooperation Office, Deputy Director Hu Yanan of International Cooperation Office, and Director Zhao Gang of the GLC Group International Education Center, among other Chinese representatives. At the same time, the President of the Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, Riitta Konkola, Vice president Simo Mustila, Director of the International Cooperation Department Marja Remes, Director of the Legal Department Sanna Saarnia, as well as the Dean Jari Olli of College of Science and the Dean Jorma Sateri of College of Architecture, and other representatives from Finland attended the signing ceremony. This meeting marks the beginning of a series of in-depth educational collaborations between the two schools. These two schools will explore the future of vocational education together.

Firstly, the President of the Metropolia University of Applied Sciences Riitta Konkola delivered a speech. She said, We are very grateful to all colleagues who participated in the project. We are delighted to establish a cooperative relationship with Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University. This means the first step of our long-term cooperation and also an important step towards internationalization. We will work together with Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University to create high-quality international education programs.
Vice President Liu Shuyun of Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University delivered a speech. She said, This is an important milestone in the development of Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University and also an important step towards internationalizing our education. We believe that the collaboration with Metropolia University of Applied Sciences will provide students with more opportunities for international exchanges.
Later, President Huo Jiazhen and president Riitta Konkola signed the cooperation agreement. The signed cooperation agreement covers three majors at our school: Food Nutrition and Health, Food Quality and Safety, and Architectural Engineering.


The achievement of this collaboration provides students with more opportunities for international exchanges. At the same time, this will also promote further development of educational exchange and cooperation between China and Finland.
