Zheng Huiqiang, of Han nationality, was born at Chaoyang, Guangdong Province in February, 1953. He started to work in March 1970. He joined the China Democratic League in May 1990. In 1998, he received a doctor's degree in mechanical design and theory from Tongji University. He is a professor and doctoral supervisor.
Dr. Zheng was a member of the Standing Committee of the 12th CPPCC National Committee and deputy director of the Standing Committee of Shanghai Municipal People's Congress.
