Prof. Huo Jiazhen and Prof. Ping Jie, President and Party Committee Secretary of Zhongqiao University, inspected teaching work on Monday 20 February 2023, the first day for classes on campus in the new semester.
The two leaders, accompanied by the heads of Teaching Affairs Department, Information Center, Logistics Support Department and other functional departments, went into classrooms to check student attendance rate, teachers’ readiness, teaching facilities and equipment operation status, teaching support and other teaching-related matters. Also present during the inspection were the persons in charge of teaching affairs in second-level teaching units.
On the whole, campus teaching of Zhongqiao University went well on the first day of school, all according to the talent training plan and teaching schedule. Class start rate and teacher attendance rate (including experimental training courses) were 100% while the student attendance rate of all grades and majors reached 98%. Teaching ran well and in good order: all teachers for classes arrived at classrooms well ahead of the required time, prepared for and conducted teaching with passion and high spirits in their first lectures for the new semester; students followed lectures attentively and interactively, showcasing a good classroom discipline; the front row seating rate, head up rate, and nod rate were all quite high. In addition, all the multimedia and experimental equipment worked well and all the classrooms were tidy and clean.
