In June 2022,Shanghai Zhongqiao vocational and Technical University signed an agreement with the dual system Applied Technology University of Baden Wuerttemberg, Germany, to carry out a short-term study visit project. In October 2022, our school successively sent three students from the School of Foreign Languages and the School of Architecture and Engineering to the dual system Applied Technology University in Baden Wuerttemberg, Germany, for more than two months of exchange and study. In this study visit, the three students can not only enhance their English learning and application, but also learn business expertise, and further understand German culture through research on German enterprises.
The establishment history of Baden Wuerttemberg Dual University of Applied Technology in Germany can be traced back to 1974. It was officially approved to be established in 2009. It is the first dual university in Germany, one of the largest higher education institutions in Baden Wuerttemberg, Germany, and one of the institutions certified by the Ministry of Education of China. The university provides a wide range of undergraduate professional courses in the fields of business, engineering and social work. It has 22 majors and 79 professional directions in the three major fields of technology, economy and society. It provides undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses. All degree courses are internationally recognized. At present, the school has established cooperative relations with more than 9000 enterprises, including Siemens, Benz, Porsche, Lufthansa, Deutsche Bank, Deutsche Post, German Railways, etc. The project aims to improve students' learning and practice ability, broaden their international vision, and provide more and better opportunities for students to study at home and abroad.
This visit has promoted the academic exchange between Shanghai Zhongqiao vocational and Technical University and Baden Wuerttemberg Dual University of Applied Technology in Germany, deepened the friendship between the two universities, and broadened the international vision of students.In addition, Germany will also send the first batch of students to Shanghai Zhongqiao vocational and Technical University for exchange and study in 2023, which is of great significance for promoting the internationalization of the university.
On behalf of the university, Yan Hui, the director of the university, visited the dual system Applied Technology University in Baden Wuerttemberg, Germany, and awarded the appointment letter of member of the International Advisory Committee of Shanghai Zhongqiao vocational and Technical University to Gerhard Jager, a German professor.
